About Cane Bay
Cane Bay Plantation is a well-established and growing community in South Carolina’s Berkeley County. Ten distinct neighborhoods are woven throughout, offering homes for all types of lifestyles – from growing families to those enjoying their golden years. Cane Bay Plantation is home to three top-rated schools, which go from pre-kindergarten through high school.
Cane Bay Plantation is conveniently located in Berkeley County, South Carolina and a proposed I-26 interchange on the horizon will make it even more convenient and accessible. Cane Bay is only 10 minutes from Main Street Summerville. A 30-minute trip from Cane Bay places you right in the heart of the beautiful, historic city of Charleston with some of the East Coast’s best beaches right at your fingertips.
Cane Bay YMCA
Cane Bay Plantation donated 68 acres in the center of the community to be used for a YMCA. As the largest land donation to a non-camp YMCA in history, this complex will include an elevated walking track, modern exercise equipment, basketball and tennis courts, baseball and softball fields, and health and wellness programs. In addition, there will be a 25-yard aquatics education complex. Construction of this 52,000 square foot facility will begin sometime in late 2016 and take approximately 15 to 18 months.
Designed so you can get out and play.
An interconnecting trail system planned to be over 25 miles long, winds its way throughout the community. This trail system connects all of the communities and most amenities. Children can use the trail system to bike to school without having to cross any busy roadways, thanks to some well-planned overpasses.
Our Lake System
Our 300-acre lake system, featuring an eventual 8-mile blueway, is perfect for kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding. Miles of scenic lakeside walking and biking paths provide the backdrop for other relaxing recreational adventures as well, including fishing, sail-boating and electric-motor boating. This spectacular setting of natural beauty and calm water converge to create a peaceful retreat and a warm welcome home.
We know how important it is for you to stay connected. That’s why we partnered with Home Telecom to ensure everyone inside Cane Bay Plantation has access to Velocity Fiber, which is Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) technology that delivers the widest bandwidth and high speed internet (500 Mbps) through a fiber-optic connection run directly to your home.
